In where ever selecting the item the item code is shown in the dropdown, instead of item name.
Item get saved by itemcode thats why wherever ‘Item’ field is used, in drop down itemcode are displaying instead of item name.

Is there any way to change it to item name
1.Go to “Stock” Module
2.Go to “Setup”-> Stock Setting
3.Select “Item Naming By” as - Naming Series OR Item Code
4. save form and check it.
HI Thanks when changing Item code to naming series also it is not changing in dropdown it shows the code only.
Works for me (latest on version 5)
We are using V4 and while saving the item itself it saves with item code, so where ever selecting the item it shows with the code instead of name. even while when renaming and viewing with name it shows in code in other forms in dropdown.

For each Item, with Item Code, Item Name and other values are shows as well. These values are just below Item Code, in lighter text.
You can customize which other values will be shown in the filter view from Customize Form, Search Field options. Check following link to learn more.
