I did a couple of backups and they all have small sizes and if I restore them it gives errors. Not sure if the backup command (bench --site sitename backup) is working properly.
The size of the backups are unbelievable I use to have MB size.

Try including the all flag… so bench --site all backup

Doesnt work for me.
Found the issue on the server
mysql: unknown variable ‘innodb_buffer_pool_size=4G’
fixed by removing that variable. variable was setup improperly.
