No line wise discount available

Hi All

I am trying to give a discount on, line or item basis on the sales order, the discount field is not visible in “sales order item”, I have checked via “customization form” those fields are there, but not visible while creating the sales order.

Hi Jalaj,

I don’t think ERPNext is designed to let you give different discount levels for each item in a Sales Order. You could use the Pricing Rule feature to achieve the same outcome.

Make sure first that the selling rate is set in the price list. After that when you add the item, the discount section should be visible:

Oh cool! Yes, of course! I missed a trick there!

Right, for the user to pick a discount, the Item needs to figure in the Price List chosen in the transaction document.
