Newsletter Query: Want to send Newsletter to Specific Leads with their Names

Is it possible to send newsletter or like a thank you letter to some specific leads like based on an event like an exhibition.

The thing is that I would like it to be addressed to them by name. Like in Mail merge.

Also if I attach a specific list of emails then I am  not able to send it like mail merge where the people get individual email.

Any solution?

Hi Aditya,

The purpose of newsletter is usually to address people as a group and send a common message.

What you want to achieve is mass email, which is not possible currently in ERPNext. 

As an immediate solution, you could export your desired leads and use a service like mailchimp. It has a free account option too. 

Maybe someone else would be able to give a better solution.

I was thinking Newsletter of a tool for Mass Emailing, thanks for correcting my thoughts on that.

Aditya,

Will update the newsletter so that you can send emails to Leads filtered by status or source.

Anand - we did build the newsletter for that purpose ;-) Obviously its not a full blown system like Mail Chimp but the added integration will be very useful and we will increment it one by one.
