MariaDB anonymous user

I’m trying to set the password for the root user of mysql/mariadb.
However maria prevents this action when logged in as ‘anonymous’ – the default user.

Does Frappe/ERPnext make us of the ‘anonymous’ account established by MariaDB during the initial install?
In other words, is it safe to disable the ‘anonymous’ account?

ERPNext does not use anonymous account, you can turn it off.
