How to use Search Fields?

Hi,

When adding items on Delivery Note, Sales Invoice, Purchase Receipt etc…by default we can search the items by item code, item name & description.

How if I want to include ‘brand’ in the search? I added ‘brand’ for Search Fields under Customize Form - Item. But it didn’t work… How to use this Search Fields actually?

If queries are customized, then search_fields are not honored. This can be fixed though.

I don’t customize the queries… I just get confused how to use this Search Fields actually? Is there example or manual?

These are Search Fields on Item form by default:

item_name,description,item_group,customer_code

But I cannot search by e.g. item group when adding item on delivery note, invoice…

Search fields have to be a part of the document.
