How to convert existing item to be fixed asset

I made item and didn’t check ‘’ is fixed asset ‘’ and now i need to change it, what can i do ?

Once an item has been created, you won’t be able to change it to asset if not selected earlier. in case you haven’t done any transaction with the item, it is best to delete and create a new item altogether.

This is also a case in my client.
The case:

  • at first the purchaser doesn’t know if an item should be categorized as asset.
  • later the accounting need to classify the item as asset.

This scenario can not be done now.

nope… still the same work around. Or just create a new item and set it as asset, then use it for next transaction.

note: I’m still using version-12
