How can I change the maximum columns in List view?

I want to show more columns on some List view of doctype.

By Default we can add only three columns in listview
for add more columns in listview you have to create list_view.js for particular doctype…
for that you can refers file_list.js

To add more columns, do I have to reduce the column width? Or what to do?
