Finding quarterly sale amount

I need to find the total in quarterly sales (before taxes) for a given time period. How can this be done?
Example:

July 1 - Sep 30

I did find one solution.

I went to the chart of accounts, and I found the sales account, and looked at it. Once i set the dates, I got what I wanted.

Any other ways?
