Could you please list the additional features and functionalities provided in Version 5 as compared to Version 4.
Also, do we lose any features that are present in v.4 should we upgrade to v.5?

I think the upgrade is worth it.
Make sure you back up your DB and files before performing any upgrade.
You could always try out V5 on FrappeCloud before you upgrade.
