Email Domain and Account not working - IMAP/SMTP

I’m struggling to get IMAP and SMTP to work on my ERPNext. Been struggling with this for days. Gone through every post, tried every setting, SSL and not.

Tried Gmail, Outlook, our own VPS, some UK based email hosting service. Nothing working.

On a localhost version I had it working a few weeks ago but in production, no luck.

Starting to think it’s my ERP instance V12.

I get this every now and then from Chrome. Tried Chrome, Safari and FireFox.

Screen freezes like this every now and then and doesn’t save.

Any suggestions?

I solved it, all on my own. Okay so I messed around with this for ages, i’m pretty sure it came down to rebooting my server and reloading nginx, weirdly. Something about saving the DocType was upset, who knows.

Sadly email connections aren’t included in logs.

For people using GoDaddy Microsoft 365 Office accounts
YOU NEED TO TURN ON SMTP AUTH YOURSELF - it isn’t enabled by default.

GoDaddy> Users> Manage> Advanced Settings> SMTP Authentication (ON)

Port: 993
Connection Security: SSL/TLS
Authentication: Password

SMTP
Incoming Server: smtp.office365.com
Port: 587
Connection Security: STARTTLS
Authentication: Password
