Hi , In V7 I am changing the desktop.py file of frappe and erpnext to add update labels other any other change. These changes are reflected on new sites which are created after these changes are done but not reflecting on the existing sites. I am also clearing the cache & building new assets after the changes.
If you are changing the python files, try running bench restart. Clearing the cache is only for client data, and I’m pretty sure bench build only does the client side files (js, css, html).

I am also running bench restart , changes in css files are being reflected but changes in python files like desktop.py does not reflects.
You might also want to try bench migrate then.
