I find that when I amend a cancelled order (PO-00123), a new order is created (PO-00123-1) with a link back to the original order. This prevents the original order from being deleted - I guess that it is deliberate. However, is it necessary? Why shouldn’t I be allowed to delete the original (cancelled) order?
You are right in your observation. Perhaps you should have deleted the original and created a new document. The link in amended documents is there for audit trail
Perhaps I should have created a new document, but there were 19 lines on the order and I’d simply forgotten to change the date!
Ah well, perhaps a quick edit with sql to remove the link …
