>4 decimal places

Hi,

We need to enter an item with a purchase price of $0.01074 on a purchase order, but ERPNext seems to only be able to handle 4 decimal places.  Please change it so that it can handle at least 5 decimal places.  Thank you.

JG

You can set "Float Precision" from Setup -> Global Settings.

Thanks.  I did that.  When I go to the Item Price and enter a price for an item, it is still rounding the price to 3 decimals, even though I have set the float to 5.  Any idea how to fix that?

There are 2 type of decimal fields in the system, Float and Currency. Rate fields you looking for are type of Currency, which takes precision as per currency format. I have created an github issue for making rate field as Float field (https://github.com/frappe/erpnext/issues/1475). We will implement it in the near future.

As of now, you can change fieldtype for any field from Setup -> Customize Form.
