Had a great workshop @ Bengaluru, had a lot of talks and fruitful discussions,i am proud of being member in such a nice community.
Kudos to all who attended, especially to @Basawaraj_Savalagi who done a great job in organising the workshop.
A lot of discussion was around contributing v/s custom apps and our new focus on making sure features remain contributed to ERPNext and we build a strong core product that as many workflows as possible for users. The core of this discussion was also the divergence of the interest of the end-user and service provider and why ERPNext should be a community of the end-user first and then service provider.
We were also graced with the presence of Dr NG Vasantha Kumar, the deputy director of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), which was a complete surprise. We hope they do end up using ERPNext and joining this community.
We also had amazing Pizzas (right next to SELCO!) and it was nice catching up with @JayRam@hereabdulla@spoojary Manoj and the rest of the community!
Edit: Forgot to add that we did a tutorial on building new features in ERPNext and started with a module to manage Restaurants.
Good active participation by all attendees, especially those who came all the way from Chennai and Udupi.
Thanks to @rmehta who made the event engaging and insightful with his thoughts and vision.
Hope to have more such events in the future with the help of @Basawaraj_Savalagi and @JayRam.
Thanks @Basawaraj_Savalagi and @keshav for organizing such a wonderful meetup and @rmehta for coming all the way from Mumbai to chair the workshop. Really nice to have such thought provoking discussions, sharing knowledge and experiences.
