Working hours are always 0

I create an employee , shift type , then I make attendance and check in and out for the employee but when ever I open the attendance report I find the working hours 0.
How can calculate the work hours ?
Are there any steps to do this ?

same here. Get Employee Total Working Hours (Missing)
was unable to find any help on the forum either to get it to work.
Is there some more documentation on what the working hours rely on?

btw. I have 2 check ins (in/out) for each attendance record.
