There used to be a neat function at the bottom if every document which would show an alias kind-of email like sales+20+invoice+INV-001@dexciss.com and if you copy this email address or use it in BCC, the email would get attached at the bottom.
This was good because then all communication trail was maintained by someone just replying to all on that email.
