Website chat and unregistered users

We’ve started looking into using the chat feature for our ERPNext generated website, and I’ve noticed two behaviors that I didn’t expect.

  1. Unregistered users all belong to the same chatroom, which means that they can see all messages posted by all other unregistered users.
  2. For registered users, the widget does not appear, and consequently registered users are unable to use the chat feature.

Are these intended behaviors, or is there something wrong with my installation?

Any insight into this? Is anyone using the chat successful with unregistered users?
