Using a different hosting service

If we use a separate hosting service (not webnotes), is it possible to have multiple instances of erpnext running on one hosting service?

(Don’t get me wrong, webnotes hosting is great but I just find it a little slow based on our location. Thanks!)

Laurence - replying you offline:

As a part of our standard commerical support plan we will setup 2 instances for you, one production and one test.

We also have a partner plan where you can rent a server and we can setup / maintain as many instances as you want on that server. We are pricing this at $2000.

best,
Rushabh

Hi Laurence,

You can have as many instances on your own server as your server can support.

Before moving to your own server, have you tried using a different internet connection? What is your connection speed? It is pragmatic to ensure that the cause of the problem isn't the internet connection.

Thanks,
Anand.

We use it in multiple locations, so speeds vary. But the general ping times I’ve tested is 300 - 500 ms.  Rather low as I have tried another demo server via a third party and get pings <200 ms.  I do perceive improved performance with that third party demo server.
