User Interface Usablity Emprovement Feedback and Questions

Hello! First of all I would like to to say that ERPNEXT product IN GENERAL looks amazing!

But there rize some questions concernig the usability:

1. Thre is a lack of space for data entering in the table, and the table area has room for emprovement, because sometimes  it’s  ugly and inconvenient.

Sugestion1:   Maybe you should consider some autohiding option/solution for the right panel when entering data in tables.
Sugesstion2: Maybe some autowidth for table labels and boxes when data entering.
Sugestion3: Font size smaller.

2. The customization is not so trivial as it pretends to be. From the start: I’m not a coder.

I have spent a lot of time finding out how to change order or rename the Labels in the Supplier Quotation, especially for the “Item Code” field, but without success, even trying to make a link to it which didn’t work. If there is a solution please provide me with it (maybe code example).

3. Could a table cell contain (to be combined) different types of data [SELECT, INT]. For example: Abbreviation for Customer Serialization Numbering purpose (E.g.: PMK 5400, like it was done for Company Detail set-up) before the nuber is manually entered. If there is a solution please provide me with it (maybe code example).

P.S. to be continued…

Thank’s in advance!

You ar right about side bar, its on our list. but once you have comments, it gets filled up pretty quickly.

Thanks for your answers!

2 columns it is not so cool looking when plan to use them in a report view.
It would be wonderful to see and manage them as a whole (because it easier to have a sort of 2 dimensional matrix, a combination of two attributes, in one cell).

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

Unfortunately that is not easily possible at the moment unless you are willing to develop it yourself. (And not on our priority list either)

best,
