Unable to add a field as a column in sales invoice

I have created a field called MRP in the custom form .Now I want to see this field as a column in the sales invoice print format .It does get printed on the sales invoice page but as a separate entry .I am unable to add it as column to the table printed on sales invoice. Am I doing some mistake while creating it ?

Table that you see in each DocType is a Child Table, a DocType in its own. The Form you should be customising is “Sales Invoice Item”
