In the trial balance report, the Total fields for Closing Amounts shows as the same of Total Debit/Credit amount. As I’m not a student of accounts, my account dept says, it shall be a calculated value. In the attachment, the “Opening balance” isn’t appearing in the “Closing Balance” fields, so if the calculation was just a simple summation, then it would be less. The opening balance wouldn’t be included in this calculation.
I got different results in different versions of ERPNext;
Now, I have tried many transactions and still getting the same result. The Total value fields for closing debit/credit aren’t working as they should be.
