Symbol for Indian Rupee

Is it possible to add the new symbol of Indian Rupee?

Hi Aditya,

Thanks for the suggestion, will look into it. From what I know, the users will have to download the font else they will not see the character.

Hi Rushabh,

I know using symbols in currency is possible now but I have a peculiar problem which I guess many users in India must be having, the issue is that when I enter the rupee symbol in the currency the browsers which don't have the rupee font installed show a square box.

Is it possible to show the symbol on all the computers without installation of any font.

If not then which font file should be installed for which browser or is the font file not specific to browser but to the OS.

Font-Awesome 4 has the rupee symbol - maybe time to upgrade!

Hi Rushabh,

Just wanted to share that if we click on the download pdf then having the FONT installed or not does not matter since the PDF is rendered at server end and the client side is bypassed.

One thing can be that if the print button is removed then we would only be left with the Download PDF button which would render the format on server only and also in FF and Chrome the steps involved in clicking Download PDF and Print are same and I see no point in having either for printing since in FF and chrome basically download PDF button is just opening another tab for PDF version of the format whereas in case of clicking of the Print button there is a pop-up window which most of the browsers block.

Hi Rushabh,

Please don't address me directly - questions are for the community.

Rupee font should have been setup on your server... please raise an issue at support if it hasn't!
