Suggestion: Printing on POS printers

Hi,

Since I learnt from your newsletter that you people would be coming up
with a POS system in this erp in the next major update, I wanted to
suggest that there should be an ability in the app to print to the POS
printers.

Currently the problem is that I have changed the print format of the
invoice but in a POS receipt printer the length of the page is
determined by the POS system and since this app gives output to the
browser we are not able to control the printer in the real sense.

Basically the problem being faced here is that in a POS system with
receipt printers like EPSON TM T20, the length of the paper would be
variable based on the length of the invoice, this is because the paper
inside these printers is a ROLL of paper and therefore if we give
command to print directly to the printer then we could control the
printer’s paper length rather than using the PAGE SETUP of the
browser.

I don’t know if I have been able to explain my point clearly enough in
words.

Hi Aditya,

Thanks for the valuable suggestion.

Surely, we will consider your point in the POS development.

Nabin Hait
