Stock Level by Item Group

Anyone know how to set up a report with Stock Level by Item Group? The Stock Level report in Main section is only by brand, and the older warehouse-wise report is not editable in the hosted version.

Hi Laurence,

Can you give me more details about why there should be an Item Group wise Stock Level Report?
I want to understand how an aggregated stock level report (Item Group Wise, instead of a more detailed on, i.e. Item-wise) will help you and how do you group Items.

In the same way that business analyses is done on Brand performance, we also do business analyses by Item Group.

For example, in a beverage business, a stock level report by Coke, Sprite, Dr. Pepper etc. would be useful. Similarly stock level report by cans, small bottles, big bottles, etc. would be equally useful.

A more detailed item-wise report is the most useful of course; I am simply looking for a way to quickly filter the report to only show a particular Group. This can already be done on a Brand level using the standard Stock Level report under Main.
