Set details from another linked doctype to my doctype

Hi,

I need to set details from another linked doctype of linked doctype .
what might be the best logic for this?

eg: I am making a library member doctype linked to user and the user is linked to another doctype called docX when the
library member is selected from list then need to set the data from docX doctype to my doctype.
