Sent Emails don't display inline images in gmail client

I’m using the latest VM image as of the time of writing.

I’ve set up email and can properly send and receive messages, however… when I open the same email from gmail’s own website, inline images aren’t displayed and point to ci5.googleusercontent.com/proxy/blablabla

How can I fix this so people can see the images I add to my emails ?

Is the problem limited to gmail alone?

Do other mail reader client display the images as expected?

I had a similar problem. Is your VM firewalled at all ? Otherwise clients won’t be able to access the images in your VM …
