How can I send notification after submitting a document to a certain role.

You can do this by email alert option in setup module.

In my knowledge, there is only “Email Alert” option to do this.

Or you can write script for[quote=“dufani1, post:1, topic:23425”]
after submitting a document to a certain role

use send_mail method for it.

I believe “Email Alert” is deprecated, replaced by Notification

The notification system lets you send different kinds of notifications including SMS and Email.
