Restricting IP suggestions

I was wondering if other users out there were using the restrict user access by IP, and if so what solution do you use? 

I'm particularly concerned about users that access from mobile 3G or from public shared computers that do not have an option for static IP.  In fact, in our case, our telcos use a shared IP for mobile 3G users (probably based on cell tower, I'm guessing).

As your correctly understand, user can be restricted based on Static IP, which provided by only one ISP. If using internet connection provided by other ISP service, user won't be able to access their ERPNext account. Because static IP as mentioned in the User Profile will not be the same.

Hi Laurence,

You should use a VPN. iPhone and Android devices have an option to use VPN. So it should solve your problem. You will only have to specify restrictions based on a single IP Address.

Definitely a VPN will help. You just need to chose a dynamic IP. Have you tried My IP.io? The dynamic IP plans are less than $3/month.
