Restricting dropdown values based on user/Roles

Hi,
Is there a way by which I can restrict the drop down/ link values for users.

For example:
I have 2 series on my sales order:
AX/
BX/

I want to make sure that user “A” only gets “AX/” as an option and User “B” gets only “BX/” as an option.

Can this be done without code and only through configuration?

@NitinAgarwal No this is not configurable out of the box.
