I want to firstly commend you on the over haul upgrade, making it much simpler to navigate and use.
I added a custom field in employee master, called daily rate, now at the end of the week i need to report on specific employees who work on a weekly basis, and to do that i nee to build a new report to calculate and report the amount owed to that employee on a weekly basis. Where do i find the report builder? with the new interface its a little confusing.
I hope to hear from you soon.
Thanks

You can use query reports. We try to restrict it to developers, hence the link is not visible.
You can create one by typing #query-report in the url after app.html
In query reports, you can use sql query to generate a report.
For example you can check Selling > Customer Addresses And Contacts
Thanks,
Anand.

Is there no way to make a custom report, and not view current reports?
Thanks

That series of steps didn’t work, every time i hit the edit button it kept giving me the ‘404, Not Found’ error. Anyway i managed a work around that.
Okay so i have now established how to create custom reports, my next question is how do i get to appear in the Reports list of ,say the Human Resource, module? Do i have to write a custom script for that?
Thanks

Hi Joseph,
To create query reports, you need to have System Manager role.
so, if you have installed erpnext at localhost:8080 then,
will show you a page where you can click on edit button and create a new query.

Anand.

I would like to create a custom report but when I type in app.html#query-report, all I get is this error message :
No Report Loaded. Please use query-report/[Report Name] to run a report.
Also, going from an existing one, once I modify a report and give the system a name to save it to, I get :
(Report): No Permission to Create
I use erpnext 3.6.0 and a system user with every possible right.
Thanks for your help
Jess

1. The query-report/[report-name] is how you run the report.
2. Do you have the required permissions on Report? I think you have to login via Administrator to create a new report. Also remember to set developer_mode = 1 in conf.py
