Purpose of "Is Group" in Task - Project

Hi,

When I assign a Task in a project to any user, there is a “Is Group” check box. What is the purpose of this?

If a certain task has sub-tasks then you can declare the Main task as the root task by checking the Is Group checkmark and later you may add subtasks.

Also the root task then will depend on the subtasks.

@root13F So this task with the check, will be the parent task?

Yes that is true for all the tasks that are explicitly defined to be child of this task.
