Prorated Salary with Multiple Salary Structure Assignment on Payroll Creation

Hi,

I have a simple scenario where an employee is being promoted in mid of the month, and I assigned the employee a new salary structure from that specific day.

Now what I want is, upon payroll creation, the system should cater all the salary structures assigned to that employee for that payroll period.

But unfortunately system is not behaving like this.

Can some of guys explain regarding this?

you can use the employee promotion doctype

For this particular case, you could create a salary slip for the first 15 days, submit it, then change the employee’s salary structure (by cancelling the assignment and creating a new salary structure assignment for them) and create another salary slip for the rest of the days in that month.

Of course you’ll need to create two payment entries (or consolidate the values manually via a journal entry).
