Production plan based on required by date of item

In the production planning tool there is no provision to filter items based on the required by field. This is essential because a sakes order can have same items with different delivery date and you would not want to produce everything at once.

Can someone help me understand why this is omitted out and only option to filter on transaction date is provided?. If others Ali’s think this is required I can raise a pull request for the change

FYI this has been added.

But more generally, ERPNext manufacturing currently assumes when you plan things you want to make them NOW. I.e. it ignores the delivery date. In ERPNext parlance this is Forward scheduling vs Backward scheduling article.
