Print Format: Customer Issue

Hi. Has anyone created a custom print format for Customer Issue? Typically for non-dev users like me, I use a pre-existing HTML format and tweak it to suit our needs (add a field here, remove a field there, add static text).

Currently, there is only a "Standard" format which I do not know how to get my hands on the source HTML. Can anyone point me to the right direction?

Hi Laurence,

"Standard" Print Format is auto generated i.e. the HTML is generated based on the specification in "Customize Form" for that doctype. So you can define what fields you want to "Print Hide" and it will generate a print view based on that.

Thanks,
Anand.

Thanks Anand, but my specific requirement now is to add a static text ("Received By") for signature purposes.  Create a custom field for this?

I'm guessing it will take some time a special Customer Issue based HTML File other than "Standard" to be created...

Laurence,

Adding custom field will be the quickest solution for this. Even better than editing HTML, if at all it was available.

You can add static text by adding a Custom Field of type HTML

And put the static text in "Options"

Great. You can even format the HTML under "Options" using HTML tags

Hello,

I managed to add this “signature field” but I’d like to automatically add the customer’s name to show something like

For and on behalf of customer_name.

How can I do that?
