Naming Series Update Error

I need to change the customer series format to CUST-.####. I followed the instructions in this link but it didn’t work. What am I doing wrong? Below is a screenshot of the changes I made.

Hello,

You already have Naming Series “CUST-”

Please ensure that for the new Naming Series, you have unique prefix. Even if # is not mentioned, it will be applied automatically.

For example, try Naming Series like

CUST-2016-.####

Thanks for your response. I set it up with CUST-2016-.#### but when I made a new customer the series generated was “CUST-” It made the same series as before I had added CUST-2016.####:
