MOQ for sales/quotes?

I would like to be able to setup some items that say have a MOQ of say 200 units.
And that the MOQ would restrict quotes on those items to only quantities larger than the MOQ.
e.g. 250 or 300 units would be ok, But 190 would not be allowed.

Is this able to be done?

Hello Tim,

You can set Minimum Order Qty (MOQ) for each stock item. You will find MOQ field in the Inventory section of item master.

I just found that MOQ of an item is not being checked/validated in purchase transactions. I have created Github Issue for the same. Please refer to following link for an update on same.

https://github.com/frappe/erpnext/issues/1529

When this issue is fixed, purchase qty of an item will be checked against its MOQ. If Purchase Qty is less than MOQ, user will not be allowed to proceed with entry.

MOQ should not be a inventory option.

Senario 1
Inventory  - The item maybe inventoried for a short time
Purchase - The factory has an MOQ of 500 units.
Sale         - The customer must order at least 100 units ( Which might be the pallet quantity )

Senario 2
Inventory  - The item maybe NOT inventoried
Purchase - The factory has an MOQ of 100 units.
Sale         - The customer must order at least 100 units ( The complete manufactured run/batch )
