Why is this error coming up? I have selected a leave type in the leave application, and yet this error arises.
Please check leave balance in “Compensatory off” and user permission as well.

You are right. The leave balance is 0. But, why wouldn’t the system state that in the error message?
The error must be - There is not enough leave balance for Leave Type Compensatory Off
can you replicate the error on demo.erpnext.com
i could not, it maybe a permission related issue. Please check permissions on Leave Application doc.
