Issue in item batch no

Dear all,

When i am trying to put a batch no in a existing item the “Has Batch No” & “Has Serial No” is became inactive. But when i create a new item both the option is working. Kindly help me regarding this issue.

AFAIK the fields are meant to be set the first time itself on an item, like the ‘Has Variants’ field, to define the behavior of batch no./serial no./variant creation.

You can’t make enable to batch/stock once stock transactions have been made without it.

You can:

  1. Stock out the item using stock reconciliation.

  2. Duplicate the item with batched/serialized inventory enabled

  3. Disabling the original item

  4. Stock entry to update the stocks.
