are you on a fresh & ‘untouched’ ubuntu installation?
If not, that would be the first thing I’d try

No i am using for my day to day work.

better try the virtual machine https://erpnext.com/download so that will not conflict with your existing setup

If he is into Ubuntu he can download latest 14.04.3 LTS and install it fresh with the script. That works fine.
