[Info] Price List - Price of an Item

Hi everyone,

We have shifted the Item Price section from Item to Price List form. This makes it easy to import Price List with Item Prices in one go.

For more details, please read: http://erpnext.org/docs.user.setup.price_list.html

Regards,
Nabin Hait

This is a good idea, but was it necessary to remove the price table in Item? I thought that was useful.

And why is Nabin emailing as Anand? :)

Hey Anand,

Thanks for the update, another question i have regarding prices and customers is, is it possible to retrieve prices for a particular item and particular customer during invoicing, sales order, quotation, proforma?

That would be really helpful, as we have repeat business from customers and all may not have list price as their quoted price. Any tips/solutions?

Regards,

Adil

Hi Adil,
You have to maintain different price list for each customer and you can mention default price list in customer master.

While making transactions, the price list will be automatically fetched, on selection of customer.

Sorry. I just copy pasted the content of the newsletter and didnt change it.

Isn't the item form already big? You can  get a much more organised data using a report. I think one already exists. You can use it to filter by item or price list.

Thanks
Anand.
