How to sort a document based on a field

Hi,

I want to sort Serial No documents based on the field purchase_date. I have added a custom field as link in Sales Order for Serial No. Is it possible to filter that link field based on its purchase_date field.

You can customize the form and select the field to sort.

Go to Customize Form → Select Doctype → Go to Sort Section → select field to sort on → select sort order.
