GST Tax details should be on POS Billing? If Yes, how to customize template accordingly

I have doubt regarding GST ready POS invoices templates, because Indian Govt. had recently released a notification regarding GST ready sales invoice template (standard template).

Let’s go through this practically, I’m using ERPNext for the Retail domain, currently using default POS template which using standard paper size. Grocery retailers have a variety of product with different size name. and Customers often pick 8-10-15 products in one invoice. How we can show applicable GST details on invoice or how can we optimize this, else sometimes it will print 1-meter long invoice

Some questions for this:

  1. Is this mandatory to mention every POS generated invoice must contain detailed applicable GST Taxes,
either sum-up like Total GST 18% or divided like SGST, CGST?? If Yes, which should be preferred for Grocery POS invoices?
  2. Best way put details about applicable GST Taxes are? I mean what style should be used to save paper & also looks decent on paper.
  3. Is there any way to print applicable GST at ERPNext POS invoices? Either updating template or customizing fields? Can anybody share code for this.

Summed up GST amount should be efficient. Not sure about legal requirement, but that’s what I received at the POS counters in recent past.

Just show total GST/CGST/IGST amount shown, which is already covered in the POS template.
