I’ve read a lot of posts but I cant find an explanation…Is it possible to filter the POS items? I want to only have items from the Services Item Group shown on the POS view.

You have to type services in the item search box on the POS, check below attachments

Ohh…that’s clever…I’ll create a set of buttons to switch between food, beverages, desserts, etc and write that into the search box.
