Filter customer

Hi, I have created 2 companies A and B, two users each user have Account User role and first user is assign to company A , and second user to company B. I have also created some customer , and this customers are asigne to this companies. Then I log with first account. Next I created a new Sales Invoice, and when I search for customer I can see all customer from both companies. I would like to know if there is a way to pre filter this search box for a company field or other field that I can select.

Thanks, Juan Carlos

Hi Juan,

The company separation in ERPNext is not complete (its ideal for companies that operate in one environment but as different legal entities)...

Many ERPNext users manage multiple databases to manage multiple companies.

Rushabh,

I noted that there is a field to select the company under the “More Info” section. Upon selecting the company, the customers are filtered according to the selected company. However, the user has to browse down and up again to select the customer. This is cumbersome to the users.

-Raja

Raja,

You can set default company for each user from Setup > User Properties. In most cases, company is not changed hence it is in the bottom.

In either case, you should setup different databases for totally different companies.

Hi Rushab,

The problem is not solved. I will start a separate topic for this. Thanks.
