Make to Order: You have a standard product, with the standard Bill of Material. Just that, you don’t stock that item readily available, but start manufacturing after receipt of an Order from Customer.
Engineer to Order: You don’t have a standard product, but make on based on the requirements/specifications received from the Customer. Then BOM is made accordingly, and then production process follows.
hi @umair
i have another scenario which the production count on raw material (fish and oil industries) existance coz they dont have problemes in selling the finished goods but instead the raw material.
after examinig the two production scenarios (make to order and engin to order) the two does not fit the requirements in this domain so if there id other scenaria which count on raw material.
You can have both raw-material as well as finished item as a salable item. I request you to elaborate your query with an example. Will be great if you create new post on forum for this query, explain at which step of production are you hitting a road-bloack.
