Erpnext update to latest version of 8 instead of 9

Hi,

My version is currently

ERPNext: v8.0.23 (master)
Frappe Framework: v8.0.36 (master)

I would like to update the site to latest version of 8 instead 9. Is it possible.

Please would others more familiar confirm my understanding:

‘bench update --upgrade’ will update to the latest v9

‘bench update’ alone will update to the latest v8, and then prompt whether to proceed to upgrade to v9?

Version 8.x.x maintained!

cd /home/frappe/frappe-bench/apps/frappe git fetch upstream git checkout v8.x.x cd /home/frappe/frappe-bench/apps/erpnext git fetch upstream git checkout v8.x.x cd /home/frappe/frappe-bench/ bench --site <your-site-name> migrate

Be sure to take a backup first in case anything goes wrong

@clarkej bench update --upgrade is deprecated. See post here.

ERPNext Version 9 will be released on 26th September 2017

We have removed --upgrade options from bench update command. Instead now, it will take your input (Y/N) before upgrading to a major version.
