does anyone knows if there is any advancements on ERPNext fo restaurants.
For example:
- Print orders in Kitchen
- allow quicker way to post orders from the waiters

Currently I don’t think this is possible. Even we have been looking for something like this but to achieve it there is a lot of work to be done.
Most importantly there is no way to directly connect printers to the server. So server can trigger prints to respected printers.
Developing this is a complete new domain. Only if anyone is looking to sponsor than only it can happen otherwise we need to wait until restaurant domain becomes important for the core team.
I was hoping at least to show tables in the doctype Restaurant Order Entry so waiters can select tables instead of typing it and maybe a way to send a print over the network after certain action 10 secs after an item is added…
I am trying to see if I can do it with custom web view with APIs… obviously I am looking for the safest and quickest way to do it, because I thought I could do it with sales orders but if I want to change the client (table for client name) it won’t allow.
