Erpnext bench migrate error

Hi all,

I recently tried to import data from my old erpnext to a new site.
What i did was

bench backup {old site}
bench new-site {new site}
bench --site {new site} install-app erpnext
(remove mysql database for new site)
bench --site {new site} restore {gunziped .sql file path}
bench setup production {user}

until this point, everything is fine and the site is up and running, but im unable to see any of my data/schema

I tried “bench migrate” afterwards and got “_mysql_exceptions.OperationERROR”

Can you please try again, I think this has been fixed.

Hi,

I also did bench update, everything was up to date and still the same error

Already up-to-date.
Requirement already up-to-date: pip in ./env/lib/python2.7/site-packages

_mysql_exceptions.OperationalError: (1048, “Column ‘in_global_search’ cannot be null”)

I encountered the same error. To fix this issue follow the steps below:

cd ~/frappe-bench
bench --site site1 mysql

ALTER TABLE tabDocField MODIFY COLUMN in_global_search int(1) NULL;
Run bench migrate again

You may encounter another error given below
_mysql_exceptions.OperationalError: (1048, “Column ‘show_name_in_global_search’ cannot be null”)

To fix the above error run the command below in mysql
ALTER TABLE tabDocType MODIFY COLUMN show_name_in_global_search int(1) NULL;
