Employee id issue

Good morning,

I tried uploading employee list. Part of the details on my template is EMPLOYEE ID from my organization. But when i uploaded,the staff ID will not show,it was replaced by a system generated ID (eg. EMP/0001)

Please how do i set my system to use the company staff ID instead of system generated ID?

Go to HR Settings and change the field: Employee Records to be created by

Set it to Employee Number. By default it will be set to Naming Series:

You will get an Employee number field in your Employee master:

You can enter the Staff ID in this field. You probably would need to delete the previous entries and reupload the sheet with the staff id entered correctly.
